    Khora and Esrum Abbey & Millfarm

    How do you show and enliven a bygone era? How do you recreate a building of extreme beauty and complexity that no longer exists or which, in the case of Esrum Abbey, exists with only a tenth of its original size? And how do you communicate the atmosphere, the beauty, and the grandeur of a building? This has long been a major challenge of Esrum Abbey and Millfarm (EKM). Today, visitors can experience this historically important cultural heritage site in a virtual reality production, made in collaboration between Khora and Esrum Abbey and Millfarm.

    Tinker imagineers

    As part of the exhibition North & South - European Masterpieces Reunited at the Museum Catharijneconvent Tinker imagineers designed a 4D experience of the medieval altar. The exhibition brought together rare masterpieces dating back to the High Middle Ages from Norway and Spain. It's a unique combination since this type of art from Middle Europe has been all but lost. Moreover, no complete altar from this periode has been preserved anywhere in the world. We designed a voyage of discovery to the origins of these extraordinary objects, starting from the mysterious 800-year-old statue of the Virgin Mary from the museum's collection.     The Boberil Manor is dated from the first half of the 14th century (1335). The Boberil Manor, an important part of the Hermitage village located 15km from Rennes, France, has been undergoing restoration works since 2017. Mr. Olivier du Boberil, the owner, tells us about the restoration project of the oldest dated manor in Brittany and the different discoveries unearthed during the archaeological studies beforehand.
